Mary Jane Bowe
Mary Jane Bowe, age 87, formerly of Chilton and Hilbert, died on Monday, October 3, 2011 at the Chilton Care Center in Chilton. She was born June 8, 1924, daughter of the late Thomas & Dulia (Barette) Hephner. Mary had married Jeff Tyson in 1939 and she later married Willard Bowe in 1957.
Earlier in her life, Mary worked at the Tecumseh Products in New Holstein until 1969; she later worked for the Northland Turkey Farm until her retirement in 1994. Mary Jane was a good hearted person who loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoying a beer or two every now and then. Her caring personality was admired by all; those who knew Mary liked her and enjoyed being around her.
Survivors include her children: Betty (Calvin) Dahl of Sheboygan, Ray (Pauline) Tyson of St. Nazianz, Bill (Joyce) Tyson of Chilton, Mary Ann Buechel of Chilton, Honey Lou Barnett of Chilton, Bonnie Mahloch of Newton, Willard (Melissa) Tyson of Two Rivers, Delilah Mahloch of Chilton, Corey Bowe of Appleton; 28 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a brother: Raymond James (Virginia) Hephner; and a sister-in-law: JoAnn Hephner. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents; 3 children: Janey (James) Nenahlo, Ken Bowe, James Bowe; another son-in-law: Joe Mahloch; a daughter-in-law: Gloria Tyson; a grandchild: Sonny Tyson; two infant grandchildren; a great grandchild: Kyle Tyson; and a brother: Philip Hephner.
Funeral service was held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Burial followed in the Charlestown Union Cemetery.
